Subject: Use of drugs or alcohol rule
Please pass this on to all :
Shawn please remind your umpires to watch for the use of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco.
If there is an incident in the future, they must fill out an incident report, found on the baseball Ontario website.
SECTION P2.3 PROHIBITION ON THE USE OF
TOBACCO PRODUCTS, ALCOHOL
AND DRUGS
a) Players, coaches and umpires in uniform must refrain from using
any tobacco products during all games.
b) Players, coaches and umpires in uniform must not be under the
influence of alcohol or drugs.
c) Penalty for a) and b) will be immediate ejection for players or
coaches and may result in loss of accreditation for umpires.
