Strathroy Minor Baseball league encompasses youth ages four to eighteen with everything from 5U to 18U divisions. The season starts in early May for competitive teams and in mid May for house league teams. Games are generally held from Monday to Friday at the two ball diamonds on York Street and the Welch Diamond at the West Middlesex Memorial Centre with the 15U and 18U Division playing at the newly renovated Diamond 3 at York Park. The majority of the minor ball teams have made it to league play-offs in recent seasons. Based on past successes, the competitive teams have a good chance to participate in the baseball Ontario Championships held on Labour Day weekend.
The Royals name was adopted from the original mainstay team in Strathroy in the 1940’s. While other teams came and went the Royals were more long-lasting. Don’t miss the modern Royals in their royal blue, grey, and white uniforms.
