Hi All,
I thought we should send out something to
let everyone know the status of baseball this year. As of now all baseball activities are shut
down until the end of April as I am sure everyone is aware. The hope is that by late May and even early
June we will be able to play baseball.
Baseball will be a little different than previous years. When baseball returns it will be in bubbles of 50 players, which likely will mean 3 or 4 teams. Baseball Ontario is hoping to get this amended but these are the guidelines we will start with and may end our seasons with. If all goes as planned we will start collecting registration fees from each person prior to them playing any games. Once games start any player that has not payed their fee will not be allowed on the field. We will reveal the fees after we are given an indication of number of games that will be played as this will depend on our actual start date. T Ball and Blastball will not be affected as they are played entirely against other players from Strathroy and there will be less than 50 players total. Schedules and in particular opponents for House League and Competitive teams are still to be determined and will be revealed to us by London District Baseball Association closer to the start date.
